I bring you and me together online; Yoomee

I'm the founder of Yoomee. We specialise in building digital platforms for social good; creating bespoke social networks, tools and apps for online communities using Agile/Lean principles.

Typical projects involve creative ways of connecting people together online, solving specific problems that bring about positive social outcomes in the real-world. We work with nonprofit, social entrepreneurs, charity, third sector and advocacy groups to create bespoke custom social networking websites and social media tools.

Yoomee partnered with PICNIC to build this website - starting with a simple beta, and then continuously improving based on feedback. Feel free to get in touch if you want to discuss developing a similar project.

When I am not doing Yoomee, then I am busy being a father, husband, petrolhead, Arduino and fencing fan - touché!

It was a great experience, I've met nice people and got some new and interesting insights for our own business. Thanks! please have a look at DOTS, a new Ipad magazine about contemporary creativity. We're looking forward to create a new platform around it, maybe within the app, linked to facebook or on our website. We're not quit sure yet. So if you have some ideas, please share. Thanks again everyone... Read more

If there are specific areas that you would like covering, then please post them here and I'll see what I can do to include them in the session.

I'm interested in new forms of social lending without banks ... a crossover between something like www.zopa.com and crowdfunding ...

If you want to browse the festival program on iPad/iPhone then grab the new version of the PICNIC app. It allows you to build your own personalised program and sync it to the website too.
