Best Scene in Town is a mobile design challenge that explores how we can interact with the city through our mobile phones. Student teams enter a series of hands-on creative sessions to design, develop and ultimately pilot their mobile concepts for a live audience with the 7scenes platform.

Best Scene in Town challenges are big and small, but always push the boundaries of mobile interaction. The challenge has been organized with several partners for different city themes over the last year and is focused at the new young professional – the university student. With the PICNIC festival and Amsterdam Innovation Motor the challenge has found great partners in realizing the ambition of connecting international universities with each other.

Following last year's success, the challenge has grown even larger with students participating from Parsons - The New School for Design (US), MIT (US), Hong Kong Design Institute (China), University of Amsterdam (NL), Utrecht University (NL) and the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (NL).
