Victor loves art, music, politics and design, and even though he´s no artist, musician, politician or designer, he likes to focus his efforts and channel his energies in these areas and make things happen.

He is one of the founders of ARTO – Art Beyond Museums, which main objective is to take ART TO THE PEOPLE. He is also CEO of PIECE – Business and Social Development Intelligence, a Mexican consulting firm focused on Social Innovation for Governments and Enterprises.

Victor has always been interested in working with the civil society in order make a social change. Since his time in college, he has participated in the creation and management of two NGOs: he co-founded ConsensoUno with the primary intention of actively creating awareness in Mexico in the areas of politics, education, culture and social responsibility.

He also co-founded JOIN, a website that promotes citizen journalism in Mexico in order to create alternatives to the biased mass media that exists in his country. In 2010, JOIN received the World Youth Summit Award in the category of “Pursuit of truth” at the United Nations in New York, for using technology to help achieve the Millennium Development Goals.

Victor holds a masters degree in Politics & Mass Media from the University of Liverpool (UK). As part of his studies, he worked to understand the relationship between mass media and politics in modern democracies, with special reference to Britain. After completing his masters, he worked for the United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service at the New York Headquarters.

Prior to his studies in the United Kingdom, Victor received a bachelor’s degree in Communication Science from the Technological Institute of Monterrey, Mexico.
